As one of the leading retirement planning organizations in the Country, Appreciation Financial is working in partnership with the district STEM Education program and the Council for Educational Change to implement an Executive PASS program at John I. Leonard Community High. The partnership is designed to benefit district wide STEM Initiatives. Appreciation Financial has generously donated $5,000.00 to assist with the development of these two very important programs.
Through the Executive PASS Program, Appreciation Financial is working to support the growing need for personal and professional Leadership/Mentoring for extraordinary students in need of help and guidance on their path towards accomplishing great things in the classroom and in life. With the already growing success of the District STEM Initiative, Appreciation Financial is further working to actually embed themselves into the classrooms of specific STEM related Academy’s by working with the Teacher/Instructor at John I. Leonard Community High to implement programs that greatly help students by having ‘real world’ application in areas of math and personal finance.
“We are very thankful to have the opportunity to work so closely with the STEM Education Program by helping to head up these very important new Initiatives” says Richard Schaffer, Retirement Specialist and National Field Vice President with Appreciation Financial. “To be in a position to provide actual ‘hands on’ support and assistance for such meaningful and important Initiatives, is truly gratifying indeed!”
Students receive a better understanding between text book knowledge and actual real world experience. They also get a definitive leg up and competitive advantage in the ever challenging workforce/marketplace. Appreciation Financial extends its thanks to the Principal of John I Leonard High School, Ed Tierney, along with its Finance Academy Director, Richard Molzer, for providing them the privilege and opportunity to work so closely with the school and students.
