Born in Portland Oregon I got tired quickly of the rain and moved to California shortly thereafter and haven’t left. I knew at the early age of six I wanted to get into the insurance business, it was a lifelong dream and passion of mine. Scratch that, who the heck wanted to be an insurance guy? But I did get lucky! I went to work for an independent brokerage at the age of 19, started at the bottom answering phones and doing odd jobs, and stuck with it working my way up through the company kicking butt and taking names. Through lots of experience and grinding it out (10,000 hours + easy) I got really good at recruiting, developing, and supporting distribution within the industry on both the wholesale and career platforms.
In 2014, I left my company of 13 years to join Appreciation Financial. It was one of the scariest transitions of my life but has turned out to be one of the best.
Now I have the luxury of working with my best friends, as well as build new relationships each day. I am grateful to be able to support our thriving offices all over the country. Our respective offices are filled with highly talented, like minded, motivated individuals who are working better than ever to accomplish big things in this industry. We have committed ourselves to understanding and helping the public sector and its respective people and their individual needs. Helping the same people that serve, teach, and protect us everyday is something that I appreciate and am grateful for.
The center of my life revolves around my high school crush and love of my life Jen, my two kiddo’s Jack and Decklyn, dog Duke … and unfortunately a cat Archie (that I secretly love).
When I’m not at home or working you can find me enjoying the outdoors, traveling, golf, sports and fitness, wine, Golden Tee tournaments late night at the office (with even more wine), and spending time with family and friends.
