I was raised in Great Falls Montana and graduated from The University of Montana. Sports has always been my passion and I fully expected to make basketball my profession. Well life happens and three knee surgeries later (I like to think that’s why I’m not in the NBA) and it was time to carve out a new path. It gave me the opportunity to study abroad in the Netherlands which triggered a love of experiencing other parts of the world.
Upon graduation I moved to California and found my new world. That meant California would become my new home and future. Although Montana will always be home to me, we have our roots in California.
Professionally speaking I am the luckiest guy in the world. My best friend, mentor and business partner hired me in 2003. From 2003 to 2014 we built and grew 2 insurance brokerages. This would not be our final destination but was an amazing education to help build our true purpose in PHG. We have picked up another like minded, hard working partner to round out our partnership and solidify our path towards our new future.
There are so many inspirational people to list that have been or are part of this incredible company. They should all know who they are (too many to list) but I’m truly grateful to you all. Why am I so lucky? Every day I work with my best friends and family members. We help families position themselves to enjoy retirement and succeed after their professional life is over. That is truly one of the best rewards to be able to provide.
I learned my work ethic and values from my amazing parents (I hope my kids will say the same about me). Lisa (THE ONE) and I have two awesome, energetic boys that fill our lives with joy, laughter and pride. To be 37 years old and say that I’ve been a part of building 3 companies, traveled the world, and have the most generous family and friends is humbling. I can’t wait to see what the next 37 years bring!
