Terry Kennedy is a longtime Las Vegas native and the President and CEO of Appreciation Financial, a full-service national financial powerhouse with headquarters in Las Vegas and an Inc. 5000 company two years in a row (2018 & 2019). Kennedy received the 2019 Gold American Business Awards Stevie Award® for Entrepreneur of the Year-Financial Services and was a Finalist for Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2019. Appreciation Financial received the Gold award for “Company of the Year-West US” by the Best in Biz awards and was also named one of the “Best Entrepreneurial Companies in America” by Entrepreneur Magazine's Entrepreneur 360™ list.

Focused on providing solutions for all areas of your life, including insurance and retirement planning, the birth of Appreciation Financial happened in a classroom. After seeing teachers fall victim to bad financial advice, Kennedy decided to educate the educators about protecting their hard-earned investments. That personal mission led him to start Appreciation Financial in 2008. In the years following, Kennedy has visited more than 1,000 schools and has personally helped nearly 2,000 teachers plan for a vibrant life after the final bell rings. While Appreciation Financial offers a conservative product for those who can't afford to lose money, Kennedy's goal for the company is anything but. After meeting with so many teachers, his passion to give back to those who give so much to our community grew. As Kennedy explains, “Appreciation is not just our name, it's a way of doing business. Giving back in the communities where we do business is a cornerstone of our company.”

Kennedy feels very strongly about the people he serves, “Our clients are public servants. They are educating our future leaders, pushing through government red tape to get the best outcomes possible for their communities, and even saving lives. I have a service-driven life mission to help the helpers. It feels great to help these amazing individuals protect their future and families.”

Kennedy resides in Henderson with his wife, Amanda, and their four daughters. He hopes to see Appreciation Financial in every school district in America, serving millions of our hardest working public servants, second parents and mentors - the nation's teachers.
